The (DfEE) is the government body responsible for education in England and Wales. It provides information for parents on all aspects of education, including the National Curriculum, and produces a number of documents and leaflets for parents and teachers.

The Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) is the government organisation responsible for promoting quality in education and training. Part of its role is to develop assessment materials, including the SATs and to produce documents and leaflets for teachers and parents. Their publications include copies of previous SATs tests.

The results are available on the Internet: Results are summarised for each Key Stage. There are tables that allow you to compare national results with those from your child's school. Hard copies of the results can be obtained from:
