Position: Transport Clerk
Location: Longbridge
Reporting to the Transport Team Leader, the Transport Clerk provides on-site administrative and operational support to the team ensuring daily and weekly deadlines are achieved. The main responsibilities include:
• To ensure all consignments are created and checked on the ESL in-house system (GTS). Ensuring they are correctly administrated, rated and ready to invoice – obtaining rates for any new delivery points from our sales department
• Produce KPI and report information for the customer and ESL
• Arrange 3rd party haulier collections and liaise with sub-contractors as required
• To provide operational and administrative support to the team as required
• To escalate issues to the Transport Team Leader where unable to resolve
• To keep up to date with news items and process updates as detailed on the ESL intranet system
Applicants will have good keyboard skills, a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook and excellent communication skills. A high level of flexibility, commitment and motivation are a necessary requirement for this position. Applicants should also be able to use their own initiative, be team orientated and be capable of operating with limited supervision, within fixed guidelines. Experience within a similar role would be preferred.
Shift - 4on / 4off Nights (18:00-06:00)
