The Driver Training School was initially set up for regular drivers who have career aspirations of becoming a driver for Logistics plc.

This idea was developed into a more comprehensive training opportunity for drivers to obtain their LGV C+E licence which can be very expensive and time consuming if undertaken on their own.

Due to a national shortage of drivers, the Driver Training School took the approach that if a driver had a Class C licence and was interested in joining Logistics plc, then they could still work for us and undergo the training for their C+E licence.

The trainee would then have the assurance of an income and employment as well as getting trained to Logistics plc's high standards.

Once the trainee has successfully obtained the C+E licence, further training is given on the finer points of manoeuvring, paperwork and SAFED (safe and fuel efficient driving).

Our Driver Training School also ensures all drivers that join Logistics plc undertake a full day driver induction course.  This course covers legal requirements, standards and duties of being an Logistics plc driver.  The Driver Training School also runs refresher courses yo update drivers when there are changes in legislation (drivers’ hours, digital tacho’s, etc).

New vehicles, trailers and other specialist equipment are also delivered by a driver trainer who have all the relevant skills, knowledge and experience.
