Questions to ask yourself

Consider the following about your experience:

What happened

You could describe: who did / said what, what did you do / read / see / hear); the order in which things happened (eg. any stages; when; what followed on from what); the scale of what happened (eg: how much work time taken; costs); the circumstances in which it happened, when, where (eg. at home; in class; at work; lots of people around; when you were busy); what you were responsible for; etc.

How did you feel?

You could identify your initial gut feelings about the experience. What do they tell you? Relieved, disappointed, happy, afraid - why? What does this say about what was important to you? Did your feelings change? How, why? What does this tell you?

How did others react?

Is what other people thought or how they reacted important / relevant? You could consider: did they react like you or differently, how; who had which reactions, and what does this tell you; how did their reactions affect you?

Identify the positives

What was positive? You could consider: what pleased, interested or was important to you; what went well; if you succeeded in doing something, what, how, why; what / who was helpful; what you found out; what skills / qualities / abilities you used.
