Rowing ClubsThe best place to learn is a rowing club. Contact the Amateur Rowing Association for a list of clubs in the UK.Club fees average around £35 for juniors but this varies from club to club. Once you have paid your fees, there are no additional costs for equipment. All clubs employ qualified coaching staff. These are approved by the ARA. Through a club you can take part in a proficiency scheme for Watermanship Skills under the guidance of a coach. The award covers technique, speed, strength and aerobic capacity.
