World Mental Health Day 10 October 1998 |

World Mental Health Day is an internationally recognised day held on 10 October each year. It is supported by the World Federation for Mental Health and the World Health Organisation. The aim of the day is to raise awareness of Mental Health through a wide range of events. Up to 4,000 local contacts including health professionals, teachers, youth workers, mental health service users, journalists, self-help groups and many others are involved in organising events throughout the UK, such as art exhibitions, festivals, conferences, dance and street theatre. The events are coordinated nationally by the Health Education Authority. For more information contact:
