bullet1Ready...Steady....Stop!

That's the message of No Smoking Day. The campaign aims to involve as many organisations and individuals as possible in activities that are related to 'giving up the habit' or helping others who want to stop smoking. There are posters, leaflets, balloons, caps, t-shirts, stickers, pens and banners all trying to get the message across. In addition, the No Smoking Unit have put together lots of ideas for you to get involved in the campaign on a practical level in their 'Action and Media Guide'.

It has been medically proven that smoking can damage your health in many ways - it releases tobacco toxins into your body, it affects your sense of taste and smell, it damages your lungs, it increases the risk of heart disease, it stains your teeth, and it affects your breathing. All in all, there's nothing really going for it!
