This activity aims to improve your lower body strength and explosive power on the ice, try and get as low as possible and explode upwards when carry our this exercise to maximise your potential!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Nick's top tip ; Ensure you keep and straight back to avoid injury. Start light and progress up and beyond your body weight.

Lunges

The lunge exercise can improve the quadriceps and hamstrings, these are vital muscle groups for effective power skating.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Nicks top tip; start with no weight until you get your balance and correct technique, slowly build the weight up and you will see an improvement in no time!
