Outdoor Activity CentresMost centres will have contact with biking instructors and the centre leader will be able to arrange lessons for individuals or groups. Many centres are open all year round - mountain biking is not just a fair weather sport! Lessons are quite cheap and you have the opportunity to try out off the road riding in a safe environment. Some centres have bikes for hire and this is usually included in the cost of the lesson. The centre also provides insurance cover in case of an accident.

UK Mountain Bike Resource The Internet is a modern way of linking information from many countries and many mountain bike enthusiasts and cycling clubs now have their own site. Some show stunning photographs of mountain bike treks. Occasionally you will see equipment advertised for sale. This may be a useful way to see what is available but before you buy you need to try out the bike yourself and this can only be done in a shop.
