Where do you get a passport?From one of six regional Passport Offices: Liverpool, London, Newport, Peterborough, Glasgow or Belfast. You apply to the office nearest you.
How do you apply for a passport? Fill in an application form. You can get one from main post offices, some travel agents or Lloyds Bank You will need to complete application form A if you are 16 or over. (Application form B is for those under 16).

Send your completed application form to the Passport Agency for your area. Alternatively, you can hand it in at a main post office or a branch of Lloyds Bank but they will charge you extra for this service.

How much does a passport cost?The cost of a standard passport (32 pages) is £21 The cost of a large size passport (48 pages) is £31 If you are under 16 and you want your own passport, it costs £11 .
How long does it take to get one?Usually it takes about a month, but it can take longer between February and June because there are more applications at this time of year.

If you need a passport quickly ask at the post office or Lloyds Bank for advice.

How long does a passport last?A standard passport lasts for10 years. Passports for under 16s last for 5 years
