{"id":26,"date":"2023-07-31T09:14:10","date_gmt":"2023-07-31T09:14:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/teaching.shu.ac.uk\/talent\/?page_id=26"},"modified":"2026-04-24T13:07:44","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T13:07:44","slug":"about-talent","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/teaching.shu.ac.uk\/talent\/","title":{"rendered":"Home"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><\/span><\/p>\r\n<h2><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;color: #993366\">Changes to applying for Fellowship<\/span><\/h2>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">The University is changing the process of staff applying for Fellowship. <\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">A refreshed offer called <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/sheffieldhallam.sharepoint.com\/sites\/4151\/SitePages\/Recognising-Teaching-Excellence---Refreshed-Offer-2026.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Recognising Teaching Excellence<\/a><\/strong> will begin in Summer 2026 for staff<\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"> interested in submitting a fellowship application during the 2026\/27 academic year. Support will be provided through a new cohort model which has been used successfully for Principal Fellows in the past, and is being rolled out for all Fellowship levels. Please see these <a href=\"https:\/\/lta.shu.ac.uk\/support\/advance-he-fellowship\/getting-started\"><strong>new guidance pages<\/strong><\/a> for more information or email:<strong><a href=\"mailto:recognitionofteaching@shu.ac.uk\"><span dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"EN-GB\">recognitionofteaching@shu.ac.uk<\/span><\/a><\/strong><span dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"EN-GB\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>if you have any questions.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">April 2026<\/span><\/p>\r\n<hr \/>\r\n<p><span class=\"TextRun SCXW80997960 BCX0\" lang=\"EN-GB\" style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\" xml:lang=\"EN-GB\" data-contrast=\"none\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW80997960 BCX0\">Sheffield Hallam University is accredited by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.advance-he.ac.uk\/about-us\">Advance HE<\/a> to award Fellowships against the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.advance-he.ac.uk\/teaching-and-learning\/psf\">Professional Standards Framework (PSF 2023)<\/a> in the following four categories: Associate Fellow, Fellow, Senior Fellow and Principal Fellow.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.advance-he.ac.uk\/fellowship\">Advance HE fellowship<\/a> demonstrates a commitment to professionalism and provides recognition of practice, impact and leadership in teaching and learning.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Sheffield Hallam currently has around 1,000 staff who have successfully achieved Advance HE fellowship, ranging from Associate Fellow to Principal Fellow, in a variety of roles from all areas of the university including academic, research, technical and professional services.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Changes to applying for Fellowship The University is changing the process of staff applying for Fellowship.
