SHEFFIELD HALLAM PRINCIPAL FELLOW NETWORK

Who are we?

The SHU Principal Fellow Network aims to create visibility and accessibility to untapped academic resource and aims to inform the academic debate within SHU through engaging with a range of internal/external networks as well as relevant agencies such as Advance HE.

The network provides support and mentorship to colleagues aspiring to achieving Principal Fellow status and/or recognition through the LTA strand of Sheffield Hallam’s Academic Career Framework.

All Sheffield Hallam Principal Fellows as well as all those who aspire to become a Principal Fellow are welcome to join.

We run regular ‘Aspiring Principal Fellow’ events. View previous events, recordings and resources.

Our objectives

To inform the academic debate within SHU through engaging with a range of networks, both internal and external to SHU, as well as relevant agencies such as Advance HE.

To provide support and mentorship to colleagues aspiring to achieving Principal Fellow status.

To offer / help source expertise on a range of academic aspects where appropriate.

The PF Network constitution

The PF network structure will be formalised with a 3-year rotating Chair and a Vice Chair.  The next chair would normally be the Vice Chair, or will be selected from amongst the PF Reviewers.

All successful PF applicants will be automatically enrolled into the PF network. 

The constitution is subject to change based on the choices made by the members and in discussion with the TALENT Scheme Lead.
