Screencasts about podcasting

Podcast Workshop

Screencasts that explain one approach to producing a podcast. This is a 'neutral technology' solution - it uses publicly free and open source software where available (Audacity, Blogger, Feedburner), so this is not necessarily a long term solution for SHU podcasters. Item 11 introduces the purist approach to producing the feed file by hand for those who are comfortable with editing simple code.

  1. Setting up a Blogger account
  2. Recording a podcast episode in Audacity
  3. Editing audio in Audacity
  4. Uploading audio to the Web using Dreamweaver
  5. Uploading audio to the Web using an FTP client
  6. Checking audio file
  7. Setting up the blog information
  8. Adding an 'episode' post in Blogger
  9. Using Feedburner to create the feed file
  10. Accessing and subscribing to a podcast feed in iTunes and Juice
  11. If you don't use Blogger and Feedburner create the feed by hand
