Contact Us

General haulage is a key activity within Logistics plc.  Our expertise has been developed over half a century in the business. Our customer base includes many household names.

The Logistics plc Transport Division provides a national distribution service. Loads carried can be as little as one pallet up to a full load of 24 tonnes.

Regular customers are encouraged to open an account with us to ensure that contracts run smoothly but we are happy to set up ad hoc arrangements if that better suits our customers.

We carry a wide range of products but concentrate on the retail, including food, and the manufacturing finished goods market sectors.

120 vehicles operate from our control centre near Birmingham using the latest systems including live tracking.

Each vehicle is fitted with satellite tracking.

Using our Where are my goods?  link our customers can obtain real time information on the progress of their loads.

All our systems, from booking your delivery to paying your account, use the latest secure computer technology.

Flexibility

Logistics is a forward-looking company, constantly striving to provide the service that our customers want at a price that gives satisfaction. We aim to add value and build in flexibility through advanced supply chain modelling. This enables us to cater for local and national requirements and to develop strategies for coping effectively with issues such as road congestion, pollution and changing legislation.

Our team of experienced traffic managers, using the latest technology, organise and co-ordinate loads so that whenever possible we avoid empty running. As well as bringing cost benefits to us and our customers, this also helps to minimise the environmental impact of our business.

Refrigerated Transport

Logistics operate modern refrigerated vehicles throughout the country. These state-of-the-art units not only have flexible interiors which allow any combination of ambient, chilled and frozen goods to be carried in a single load, but also have computerised chill and freeze facilities enabling our drivers to check the condition of the load throughout the journey. This, together with the scheduling and traffic reporting provide by our control room, ensures that highly perishable loads arrive on time and in first class condition.
