We have probably all browsed the Web and enjoyed the interactive nature of the multimedia resources we encounter. It can be intimidating to see skillfully produced web pages, but it is actually quite easy to produce professional-looking resources using Web Editing software. You may be unaware that you can even produce web pages using your word processor. This section shows how to produce some very basic web pages using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Internet Explorer.
One of the reasons you may want to consider producing resources as web pages is accessability. If you produce a handout in Microsoft Word or PowerPoint you may disadvantage some learners who don't have the Microsoft Office applications. If you produce a set of web pages any learner with a Web Browser (Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator or similar) can access the materials. The learner doesn't necessarily need access to the Internet either. Web pages can be published on the Internet, an intranet, or saved to a disk or CD and used in a 'stand-alone' PC. Use the following guide to create two simple web pages linked together.
