Lost and Found

One day, on my way to school, I saw a notice in a shop window. The notice said:
"Lost - a small, brown dog. Last seen in Church Drive. Answers to the name of Rags. If you find my dog, please telephone 467297."
When I got to the school gate, I saw a little brown dog. There was no-one with him. He looked scared.

I said, 'Come here, Rags'. He wagged his tail and came to me. I went into school and saw my teacher, Mrs. Smith. She came to look at Rags.

'Hello', she said to him. He wagged his tail again. I told her about the notice in the shop.

I stayed with Rags and Mrs. Smith rang the shop. After 15 minutes, a lady came in a blue car. Rags ran to her. She was very happy to see Rags and he was happy to see her.

The lady said thank you to Mrs. Smith and then she said thank you to me.

The next day when I got to school, Mrs. Smith gave me a little bag. In the bag there were some sweets and a note. The note said:

"Found by the school gate - a small, brown dog. Answers to the name of Rags. Thank you for finding him.

From both of us."
