Books, Magazines and VideosBooksCheck out the local library for books about tennis. It is a popular sport and large libraries will contain autobiographies of famous players as well as information books about the game itself. 'Learn Tennis in a Weekend' and 'The Young Tennis Player' (pub. Dorling Kindersley) are well illustrated books with lots of useful information.

Tennis ClubsTennis Clubs are a good place to learn and play the game if you want to play regularly. Most have a range of indoor and outdoor, all-weather courts so that you can play throughout the year.Membership fees vary, but often there are special rates for juniors and young people. [See Getting Started for examples of prices]. Most clubs have at least one resident coach but usually you have to pay extra for coaching sessions. To find your nearest club, look in Yellow Pages under Sports Clubs and Associations. If you any difficulty finding a club, contact one of the Tennis Organisations (listed below) for advice.
