The Plymouth Campus is the largest site in the centre of Plymouth.
The Seale-Hayne Campus is three miles from Newton Abbot, 30 miles from Plymouth and 16 miles from Exeter.
The Exeter Campus is two miles from Exeter city centre. The Exmouth Campus is 8 miles from Exeter. (Faculty of Arts & Education Road and rail links to Exeter and Plymouth are good. The A38 links Plymouth with Exeter and joins the M5 close to the town. Students at Exmouth travel via Exeter. Seale-Hayne is in a more secluded rural area. Plymouth city airport is within four miles of the Plymouth campus for services to London, Cork and the Channel Islands. Exeter's airport has regular flights to Jersey, Guernsey, the Isles of Scilly and Belfast.

Plymouth boasts hundreds of lively pubs and many nightclubs. The Theatre Royal plays hosts to top class productions and Plymouth Pavilions has an auditorium for pop concerts or the Symphony Orchestra. Other amenities include a swimming pool and an ice rink. The Aquarium has a display of local marine life. Local sights of interest include Plymouth Hoe with Smeaton's Tower, an 18th century lighthouse. The Hoe is used for many outdoor events in the summer. The Plymouth Dome on the Hoe is an interactive museum and guide to Plymouth's past. Close by is the Barbican, a village within a city, with the Mayflower Steps used by the Pilgrim Fathers. Exeter is the county's capital city, with history and heritage in abundance. The focal point of the city is the elegant Cathedral Close, and the surrounding streets and buildings. The modern city with its pedestrianised precincts blends easily with the old city. Just beyond the city centre is the River Exe and the cobbled Quayside, where history and night life live side-by-side. Exmouth is a small town with pretty sea views and Seale Hayne is a close self contained community near the small town of Newton Abbot. All sites have Student Unions, sports facilities and a lively social scene. Plymouth has the largest number of students. Water sports - boardsailing, windsurfing, water skiing and powerboating - are popular. Exeter is within reasonable travelling distance for students from Exmouth and Seale Hayne.
The academic year is divided into 2 15-week semesters. Each semester is a 12 week teaching period followed by 3 weeks assessment. Vacation times are as normal. Courses are modular.
