What to eat - Food Facts
- Follow the Food Guide Pyramid.
The foods that make up the base (the widest part) should be the biggest part of your diet, and as you go up the pyramid, eat smaller amounts of the foods shown. Eat the ones at the top for treats occasionally.

Problems with food
The sufferer over eats or 'binges' and then reacts to this bingeing by vomiting. This may lead to rapid changes in your weight and can be the cause of or lead to severe depression.
The sufferer loses a considerable amount of weight by severe dieting. This leads to them obsessively avoiding food and can result in severe illness or death.
Getting help
Talk to a GP, or a health visitor. Doctors will refer you to a local, regional or national treatment centre.
The Eating Disorders Association provides support for anyone with anorexia or bulimia. It can put you in touch with a local group.
