Pencil Control

Parents: this activity let's your child experiment using a pencil and crayons. Show your child the correct way to hold a pencil, using their first and middle finger for control and their thumb for support. The first two pictures are colouring activities and then your child can attempt his / her own 'pencil walking' picture.

Now it's your turn to take you pencil for a walk.

  2. Now draw some curved lines and some straight lines. Try to keep your pencil point on the paper until you have finished.
  3. Have you drawn a lovely pattern? Use your crayons to colour it in.
