Activity
1. Get into groups of three or four people and think about the risks that an Internet Service Provider is faced with. Word storm your ideas on a sheet of paper.
2. Select twelve risks. Look at the first risk. What possible disruption would this cause if it happened? Write down your risk in the table below (or just quickly create a spreadsheet) together with your assessment of how severe it might be if it occurred.
3. Repeat for the other risks.
4. Go back to the first risk. How likely is it that it will happen? Put your score in the next column.
5. Multiply the Severity by the Likelihood and put the score in the fourth column.
6. Rank the risks in order.
Did the scores match up with your own ideas?
Which is the most critical business activity for the ISP?
Now that you have identified the risks, what should you do next?
