Tutorial tasks

Read these questions before the tutorial and write some thoughts down.  You'll need to get together with your team that you are going to complete the assignment with.

We'll work through these questions during the tutorial as a group and put the best answers together.

These tasks require a little imagination.  Remember you can be reflecting on the business in the case study.

Tutorial Task 1

Imagine you are to walk into a company to make observations;

1. What observations may suggest that the company is managed in a traditional manner?
2. What observations may suggest that the company has features of a contemporary digital firm?
3. Decide on a number of criteria and build a comparison table of your perceived observations in "1" and "2".

Tutorial Task 2

In the learning material we discussed that "small businesses can act big and big businesses can act small"

• State some examples to demonstrate the validity of the statement

Electronicness of the business processes heavily depend on use of information systems to a high degree to do the work.

• What are the impacts of information systems?
