Task 6: The Issues of Law that the e-Business must deal with on a Global Basis

Look at your own understanding of law:

  • What specific laws in the UK and within the EU relate to e-Business?
  • How could they have an impact on someone creating an e-Business here?

Task 7: The Structure of an e-Business

Think about other issues an e-Business might need to face:

  • What components of an e-Business infrastructure do you suppose have not been mentioned so far but might be essential in certain situations?
  • What problems do purchasers face with e-Business?
  • What problems do online sellers face with e-Business?

Task 8: The Structure of an e-Business

  • Log onto a search engine, such as Google, Lycos or Yahoo
  • Type in a word or phrase that relates to a product or service that you are interested in - for example "Cheese", "Fishing Tackle", "Sportswear"
  • Choose the first ten sites that appear to be businesses and decide which phase in the route of development (e.g. Brochureware, e-Business, etc) they are at.
  • Choose the best of these companies and draw what you think the supply-chain model for that business and its products looks like (from creation to fulfilment)
