The Tasks and Techniques document takes you through a series of tasks, telling you what to do and suggesting questions to think about. Your printed version has spaces for notes as you complete the tasks. You will often also need to refer to the two accompanying documents here:

1 the Glossary, which contains explanations of statistical concepts and graphical methods used.

2 the Student Companion, which gives answers to some of the tasks, along with extra comments and some questions to test your understanding of what you have learnt. (This document is similar to older ones used for Methods of Enquiry 1 - but does have some differences in Task 1 and Task 9 especially.)

These documents are electronic. You can either read them online or download them to browse at home etc. There is also a fully interactive version of the glossary for use online.
